stuff might go here

Since the last post, I've been shooting a little bit of 4x5, made it to Seattle and Bainbridge Island, did some good camping, and learned I can't do f/s airs. Here's Kohltron and his mother on a trip to inspect the house and colleges for the Tron here in Portland. Can't wait til this guy moves in.

This is my roommate Brandon(right) and his good friend Jonathan, they're both pretty awesome dudes, and they share their literature knowledge with me.

Peter Sarstedt getting weird, always.

Some place

Photos from a little town that we ate at on the way to or from Folsom,CA.

for my ma...

so my mama said that I need to update this thing more, so here's a photo from my mama's front yard in Spokane.

Fun little montage with the bros...

What I hate about life...

When you're not living it to the fullest, it's still happening to the fullest, so you feel like you're totally missing it.

I love life!

Diggin for gold...

No luck finding any though, but while searching I came across alot of photos I've never touched up or posted or done anything with other than shoot em. Here's a photo of the north end of Cannon Beach, OR. from late summer 2009.

Head in the clouds...

Just returned from a week in beautiful San francisco, great times. Lately I've been watching clouds alot, they're pretty killer...
Spokane, WA 2010

Portland, OR 2010

My other thoughts have been on my friends, cause what is there but clouds and homies?

It's so great. Currently reading "Why people photograph" by Robert Adams, good stuff so far.
Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo as well as Jon's birthday, super fun times with the homies, BBQ, fire, mandatory glasses and staches.
Been shooting a little more lately, hooray! Here's a photo from Charlie's last visit to portland, hopefully see that guy again soon. Hope everyone is well!

East of Eden

Finished it yesterday, it's a long read and well, well worth it. Dave thinks it's a total chick book, and it's totally not a chick book but maybe a chick would like it too, so I'll say it's a chick and a dude book at the same time. Apparently Steinbeck liked it too...

Steinbeck stated about East of Eden: "It has everything in it I have been able to learn about my craft or profession in all these years." He further claimed: "I think everything else I have written has been, in a sense, practice for this."

Hooray to reading for 10 of the past 40 hours!

Awesome collection of

Robert Adams photographs HERE

Things are gettin good...

Shit's getting sunny, ramp's almost done

skateboarding's been super fun again, and having a few possible jobs in the works(HOPE THEY COME THROUGH!!!). Here's a photo from christmas a few months ago that gets me stoked, 2 of the mega homies, tron and patty, at the indoor mini in spokane.

Here comes summer!

Back in Portland

So I couldn't handle Spokane, there's amazing homies and areas that are beautiful but... well, Latterman likes it because it's so raw, maybe too raw for me right now, humans in their gnarliest forms, and usually on some intense drugs. The few attractions that made me want to live there are mostly tainted harshly by drama and dis respectfulness.

Time for more Portland exploring, shooting, and skating! Everyone come visit!!!

Spokane so far...

So I've worked 2 days, got my room all set up, skated 2 days, kicked it with all the eternal homies, Steve, tall Ben, flatbar Ben, and Casey. To see the portland goods I'm missing out on check Mikey's blog at More to come soon, hopefully another job, skateboarding, photoing, and saving some funds to get back to the portland life. Miss you dudes!

So I'm living in Spokane, WA again temporarily. Yesterday was the Kohltron's birthday so give him a huge 18 year old grown up hand shake or something else that's awesome. ALSO.. Charles Wray's birthday is today!!! Somebody give him a huge mega hi five! That's all for now, missing P Town but once I get situated here it'll be alright.

"Time interval is a strange and contradictory matter in the mind. It would be reasonable to suppose that a routine time or an eventless time would seem interminable. It should be so, but it is not. It is the dull eventless times that have no duration whatever. A time splashed with interest, wounded with tragedy, crevassed with joy-that's the time that seems long in the memory. And this is right when you think about it. Eventlessness has no posts to drape duration on. From nothing to nothing is no time at all."

-John Steinbeck, East of Eden

Party at a rich dude's house...

"I wake up in the front yard, (other partiers) we don't care.
Wine stane on the sofa, (other partiers) we don't care.
I threw up in the closet, and I don't caaare..
Cause the son is coming up and oh my god I think I'm still fucked up....GET FUCKED UPP!"

From 1 min 58 sec on, so amazing!

I make them for everything, especially when making decision. Write out the goods and bads of each option, then lose the list and make a new one the next day. Lately I've been making alot of lists to help me through some decisions, and I decided to make a different type of list...

My thought being that any real decision should be solely based off of these things that I love.
*p.s. Sorry to things I love that I forgot to list, I'm sure there's alot of you.

Scanner Upgrade!!!

So I randomly reinstalled my scanner's driver and calibrated it or whatever and now it works way better than it ever has, if I wasn't lazy I'd love to rescan everything I want scanned now, maybe someday. Here's the first scan from it after I fixed it...

Hooray for Charlie!!!

So I made a website the other day. Hope to be making a few more in the near future(like for other people ya know...)

It's here...

Chat Roulette...

is probably the worst shit I've ever seen, naw, but pretty bad for sure. Here's the crew in Folsom getting down, notice the multiple computers, I assure you they're all on chat roulette.

"If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until it gets so ugly you can hardly bear to look at it.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely"
-Roald Dahl

ya gotta love that guy.

Folsom California

The Sacramento trip summary...

Mornings - Wandering Folsom (the suburb we stayed in) shooting photos and sometimes getting lost, Compton making pancakes for everyone, Cory getting everyone starbucks, then getting ready to go.

Days - Meeting at PLA skateshop, skating, and eating bagels.

Nights - Playing pool at the house, calling the couch, and having 3 computers on chat roulette at all times.

Overall a good trip, photos to follow soon.

Travelin and stuff...

Tomorrow I'm heading to Sacramento for a week so no updates as computer's staying here. Hopefully shoot alot down there. Here's a photo from my trip to Seattle a few weeks ago.

Wandering and Shooting...

The life of a deserter.

Red Soda Pop

So I've been shooting alot downtown lately, this particular morning I was getting all set up for this photo and a woman walks by with a shopping cart, no big deal. Next thing I know she's throwing up pure red liquid like 6 feet behind me, it's like 8 in the morning. A few minutes later when I skated past her on the sidewalk I notice the shopping cart's empty other than a 2 liter of red soda. I guess that explains the red puke.

Ladies and gentlemen

SETH RAMIREZ (and his helmet)! haha. Worst exposure but makes me laugh.

For those who don't know.

Charlie made a really good personal zine last week called "Put Your Hands Over Your Eyes" and it's absolutely killer. It's only $6 and worth alot more, and the money's so he can process his like 40 rolls of film from a recent trip covering the south west of the United States. Please get one, you won't be disappointed.
(click the photo for more info)

Oh slide film...

This is Cam ollieing over a big ol rail, good times.

Oh The Good Ol Days...

Camping with the boys out in the wilderness... soon my friends.

Portland man...

Just got back from a few days in Seattle, this is my porch in Portland that was waiting for me.

John Erickson and Eric Green are in town so get to kick it with those dudes tonight and tomorrow, and Bobby Dodd and Dave Perry are rolling down tomorrow. Should be fun. Adios.

So I didn't put anything up here for about a year and a half, now I figure I will just cause. Be sure to check out Kohlton and Sethy's colab blog that's much more entertaining... "The Bro Diaries"

Here's a few photos of the homies...
