Well, I'm in the bay area now. Slept in the Redwoods on the way, spent 2 days with Miller and Charlie, and now in the city staying with Brandon and Maurice. It's been raining but still fun, hangin with Toad and B+M. Have a job interview hopefully for tomorrow at a photography studio, I think I'd enjoy that job. Hope all is well for everyone, more photographs to come once I get my scanner going. Here's an oldie... Since the last post, I've been shooting a little bit of 4x5, made it to Seattle and Bainbridge Island, did some good camping, and learned I can't do f/s airs. Here's Kohltron and his mother on a trip to inspect the house and colleges for the Tron here in Portland. Can't wait til this guy moves in.

It's so great. Currently reading "Why people photograph" by Robert Adams, good stuff so far.
Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo as well as Jon's birthday, super fun times with the homies, BBQ, fire, mandatory glasses and staches.

Finished it yesterday, it's a long read and well, well worth it. Dave thinks it's a total chick book, and it's totally not a chick book but maybe a chick would like it too, so I'll say it's a chick and a dude book at the same time. Apparently Steinbeck liked it too...

So I couldn't handle Spokane, there's amazing homies and areas that are beautiful but... well, Latterman likes it because it's so raw, maybe too raw for me right now, humans in their gnarliest forms, and usually on some intense drugs. The few attractions that made me want to live there are mostly tainted harshly by drama and dis respectfulness.

Time for more Portland exploring, shooting, and skating! Everyone come visit!!!

I make them for everything, especially when making decision. Write out the goods and bads of each option, then lose the list and make a new one the next day. Lately I've been making alot of lists to help me through some decisions, and I decided to make a different type of list...

The Sacramento trip summary...

Mornings - Wandering Folsom (the suburb we stayed in) shooting photos and sometimes getting lost, Compton making pancakes for everyone, Cory getting everyone starbucks, then getting ready to go.

Days - Meeting at PLA skateshop, skating, and eating bagels.

Nights - Playing pool at the house, calling the couch, and having 3 computers on chat roulette at all times.

Overall a good trip, photos to follow soon.

So I've been shooting alot downtown lately, this particular morning I was getting all set up for this photo and a woman walks by with a shopping cart, no big deal. Next thing I know she's throwing up pure red liquid like 6 feet behind me, it's like 8 in the morning. A few minutes later when I skated past her on the sidewalk I notice the shopping cart's empty other than a 2 liter of red soda. I guess that explains the red puke.

On my drive from Spokane to Bakersfield we stopped in some dirt town between Sacramento and Bakersfield... Here's 2 photos from that and one photo from Spokane that fit this place too well.

How hyped would you be if those were your shoes hanging from da wire.

This place was pretty abandoned and had alot of "Toxic" stickers and warnings of death and stuff... I was sketched until I realized that cigarettes have the same thing hahaha.

Kohlton talked me into taking this photo in the Bakersfield airport, although everyone stared at me for like 30 minutes I was hyped I did it, thanks kohltron!

Got the call today, I didn't get the starbucks job so Spokane is a go!!! only there saturday afternoon until tuesday probablly morning ish so everyone come out. over 18s we're going to the casino and shit! photogs... we're goin photoging... and everyone we're going wheelieing!!! So my roll of neopan 1600 came out under exposed for half the roll or so, don't know what's up with it but it was the last roll i developed with that batch of developer so maybe that had something to do with it. Here's a few photos from my trip from Spokane to Portland, I could just drive around the country and shoot pictures out of my car at 70mph forever, so fun!

I'm getting through it... slowly but surely. I miss the photo missions, I haven't been shooting hardly at all, some here and there but always just when i'm out and about, there's nobody to mash with here. Anyway here's a few from a fun and dirty day in the kan.

A week before I left Spokane I went to Patty's new apartment to hang out for a night. I'm very glad I did, we just kicked it for a few hours before pat went to his vampire scheduled job. When I got there his place felt so personal, and it felt like a privilege to be allowed in there, a very private feeling area. Thank you pat for hanging out that night and for letting me shoot these photos...

I forgot that the first few photos of this roll I shot around the time I realized my camera was broken... so it's double exposed on accident.

"Miracle on 4th street park" in longbeach. The park is like a third the size of utf and has one swing set and a locked gate hahaha, what a miracle.

Yea, I need to stay away from skate photography. Vince has 3 palm trees in the brim of his hat.

New house means new things to shoot, like Benny and this piano. Dark and ish, probably going to finish many a roll on this thing.

Next I'm going to scan in a roll of Neopan that sethy bought me for christmas (Thanks again man!) so again... scope in a few days.

A Few Photos from an Inland 100 Roll...

I have more coming from this roll (even though i'm saving a few for print exchange). Also developed a roll of Neopan 400 pushed to 800 and a roll of Neopan 1600... those will be up within a week or so. I need to get a job but this shit's so much funner hahaha.

This is supposedly the third biggest pyramid in the U.S... and it's bright blue! If we weren't there parked in a loading zone to look at a rail i would like to think i would have gotten something radder out of this place.

Woke up early almost every morning in Long Beach and walked around shooting photos and drinking coffee. This one turned out way less rad then i was hoping... I wanna reshoot it someday.

Standing in the middle of the road during morning rush hour... weeeee. There's 2 sets of windows on that building, one set is actual windows and the other is a reflection of all the windows from a building near it (not that you can tell because i shot it blown out... cazzo)

I scanned these together then realized how cool it is with 2 steezy skulls in that shit. The left one is derek... the right one chills on garret's t.v.

I got 5 or 6 more from this roll that i'm going to post later tonight or tomorrow, whenever i have the time. Everyone come to portland and shralp/photo mission!!! lets do this!!!
